SUMMARY:Celebrando a PETE SEEGER
DESCRIPTION:El pasado 3 de mayo de 2021 se cumplieron 102 años del nacimiento del gran PETE SEEGER\, músico de folk estadounidense comprometido con la defensa de los derechos humanos\, siendo perseguido en su país y condenado por el Comité de Asuntos Antiamericanos en 1951 a doce meses de prisión y a diecisiete de total y absoluta censura en los medios de comunicación locales. \nEs autor de temas legendarios como «We shall overcome»\, «If I had a hammer» o «Where have all the flowers gone». Precisamente este último tema es el que da nombre al VII Encuentro de Música Folk del Ateneo\, tema que se cantará como cierre colectivo por todas las personas asistentes al evento que se celebrará el próximo DOMINGO 16 de MAYO. \nComo celebración previa\, Manolo Garrido\, habitual colaborador del Grupo Folk del Ateneo\, nos acerca a la historia de esa canción emblemática. \nPUEDES VER EL VIDEO EN EL ENLACE A CONTINUACIÓN:
